Softball Recap: T.R. Miller Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Jay, T.R. Miller was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They never let the Excel Panthers get on the board and left with an 8-0 victory. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Panthers: they've now won six in a row.

Meg Fountain was incredible, going a perfect 5-for-5 with one home run, four RBI, and one triple. Those five hits gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ellie Miller, who scored two runs while going 2-for-4.

Fountain wasn't the only one making solid contact: T.R. Miller kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. The Tigers are a perfect 5-0 when they post 11 or more hits.

T.R. Miller now has a winning record of 12-11-1. As for Excel, their defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 12-11.

Coming up, T.R. Miller will take on Gulf Breeze at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Excel, they will host Flomaton at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
