Cam Adams Delivers Electric Performance Vs Caldwell
Starting off the list is Giddings's Cam Adams, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Adams rushed for 118 yards and four touchdowns, and also threw for 74 yards and a touchdown while completing 71.4% of his passes.
Giddings' victory ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. Adams and Giddings will take on Sealy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

Ty Williams Delivers Best Performance of Season
Madisonville was led to victory by Ty Williams, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Williams threw for 346 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 10.8 yards per attempt, and also rushed for 30 yards and a touchdown. His passing game has become a key predictor of Madisonville's success: the team is 2-1 when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-2 otherwise.
Williams is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Caldwell on Friday. Williams threw for 163 yards and three touchdowns on perfect 7-for-7 passing, and also rushed for 43 yards the last time he and the Hornets duked it out back in September of 2023.

Bryson Mcdaniel Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Giddings was led to victory by Bryson Mcdaniel, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Mcdaniel rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.9 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (102.8) per game. That's the most rushing yards he has posted since back in November of 2023.
Unfortunately for Caldwell, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Mcdaniel. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Mcdaniel saw the Hornets), he rushed for 154 yards and a touchdown.

Tristan Whaley Sets Career High in Rushing Yards
On Friday, Madisonville got the W thanks in part to Tristan Whaley playing the best football he has all season. Whaley picked up 73 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 83 yards on only seven carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, making five total tackles and defending a pass.
On the season, Whaley has caught 2 touchdowns while averaging 21.5 receiving yards per game.

Davon Giscome Rounds Out Top Five
Rounding off our Top Five is Davon Giscome of La Grange. Giscome rushed for 151 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.9 yards per carry. He's now once again averaging 100+ rushing yards (108) per game. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
La Grange moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their three-game winning streak. Giscome and La Grange will head out to take on Bellville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
