Softball Recap: Cascade Takes Down Ranked Franklin Central

Cascade faced Franklin Central in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Cadets had just enough and edged out the Flashes 6-4. Winning may never get old, but the Cadets sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Macey Pugh was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and one triple. Another player making a difference was Tara Gruca, who went 2-for-4 with two runs and one RBI.

Cascade was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. They are 8-2 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Cascade's record now sits at 10-5. As for Franklin Central, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-7.

Cascade didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 6-2 victory against McCutcheon on the 3rd. As for Franklin Central, they have also already played their next match, a 12-9 win against Franklin Community on the 3rd.
