Volleyball Recap: Isaac Serrato's Big Game Can't Quite Lead East Union over Mountain House

East Union lost against Mountain House back in March of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. East Union came up short against Mountain House, falling 3-0.

While East Union was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the first set. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-20, 25-8.

Several Lancers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Isaac Serrato, who had four digs and two aces. Those four digs gave Serrato a new career-high. Keenan Yang was another key player, getting 12 digs and one assist.

Even though they lost, East Union couldn't miss and finished the game having scored on 42% of their attack attempts. That's the best hitting percentage they've posted all season.

Amogh Janganure was the offensive standout of the game as he had nine digs and three assists.

East Union's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 4-4. As for Mountain House, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.

Coincidentally, East Union and Mountain House will both be playing Central Catholic the next time they take the court. Mountain House will head out to face Central Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, while East Union will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
