Basketball Recap: Ropes Comes Up Short

Ropes fought the good fight in their overtime matchup against Smyer on Friday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They took a 64-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Smyer Bobcats. The Eagles have been going strong on the season, but this is now their second loss in a row.

Ropes' defeat dropped their record down to 18-9. As for Smyer, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-6.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Ropes will welcome Plains at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Smyer, a feisty cat fight will be fought when the Smyer Bobcats take on the New Deal Lions at 6:15 p.m. on Tuesday.
