Football Recap: Graham Comes Up Short

Graham extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to nine on Friday, dropping them down to 0-5. They had to suffer through a 56-6 loss at the hands of the Williams Bulldogs. While losing is never fun, the Red Devils can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked 412th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 77th).

As for Williams, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 4-1. That 50 point margin sets a new team best for them this season.

Leading Williams to victory were Amarion Richmond and Kyrian Fuller. Richmond rushed for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns, while Fuller rushed for 65 yards and one score. Jazian Bigelow also helped with two TDs in total.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. After each having a week off, Graham and Person will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd. The Red Devils will be up against the Rockets' rather soft defense (which has allowed 31.8 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Williams, they will host Southern Alamance at 7:00 p.m. on the 3rd.
