Football Game Preview: Gilmer Bobcats vs. Calhoun Yellow Jackets + How To Watch

The Gilmer Bobcats will head out to square off against the Calhoun Yellow Jackets at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Gilmer took a loss when they played away from home last Friday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They took down LaFayette 41-26. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Ramblers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Meanwhile, Calhoun made easy work of Northwest Whitfield on Friday and carried off a 42-20 victory. Considering the Yellow Jackets have won four contests by more than 21 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Calhoun's win came from a few key players Gilmer will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Hudson Chadwick, who rushed for 195 yards and one TD on only 13 carries. Justin Beasley was in the mix too, providing Calhoun with three scores.

Calhoun's win bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Gilmer, they now have a winning record of 4-3.

Things could have been worse for Gilmer, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 20-6 loss to Calhoun in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
