Soccer Recap: Braswell Takes a Loss

Braswell lost against Coppell back in February, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Braswell Bengals fell 4-2 to the Coppell Cowboys. While losing is never fun, the Bengals can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas soccer rankings (they are ranked 462nd, while the Cowboys are ranked 11th).

Eduardo Lopez and Jean Izquiel scored both of Braswell's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 12 goals.

Braswell has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11 record this season. The victory (which was Coppell's 11th in a row) raised their record to 15-1.

Looking ahead, Braswell will head out on the road to square off against Hebron at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Coppell, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Flower Mound at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
