Volleyball Recap: Legend Titans vs. Regis Jesuit Raiders
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Grandview, Legend was happy to have turned things around on Thursday. They came out on top against the Regis Jesuit Raiders by a score of 3-1. This was payback for the Titans, who suffered a 3-2 loss the last time these two teams met.
While Legend might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Regis Jesuit scored at least 19 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 26-24, 21-25, 25-19.
Cruz Crandall paced Legend's offense, picking up ten kills. Crandall got some help from James Titterington and his 23 assists. Finally, Benett Brukaker kept Legend's defense grounded, leading the team with four blocks.
Clayton Kollmeyer and Callen Wolf certainly did their best on Thursday to avoid the loss. Kollmeyer had 13 digs and one assist, while Wolf had nine kills, nine digs, and two blocks. Wolf has been hot, having posted six or more kills the last six times he's played.
