It was a good run, but Red Mountain unfortunately witnessed the end of their 12-game winning streak on Friday. They lost 7-1 to the Queen Creek Bulldogs. The match marked the Mountain Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Payton Westra made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run. She has been hot recently, having posted at least one home run the last four times she's played.

Red Mountain's loss dropped their record down to 12-4-1. As for Queen Creek, their victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-5.
