Football Recap: Union Grove Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Union Grove extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 13 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-7. They came up short against the Hampton Hornets, falling 35-10. While losing is never fun, the Wolverines can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 320th, while the Hornets are ranked 109th).

As for Hampton, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 32.8 points over those games.

Hampton got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tristan Parks out in front who threw for 260 yards and three TDs on only 17 passes. That's the most passing yards Parks has posted since back in October of 2024. 95 of Parks' passing yards were hauled in by Gavin Aiken, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Union Grove has already played their next contest, a 60-28 loss against Stockbridge on the 10th. As for Hampton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 35-21 victory against Eagle's Landing on the 10th.
