Barreno came up big in Quincy's 13-3 victory
Laney Barreno produced her most outstanding game to date while leading Quincy to the win in Friday's first game. Chester had no answer to Barreno as she went 2-for-4 with a home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Barreno's strong effort led Quincy over Chester and she'll get a chance to do so again: the teams have a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. in Friday's second game. Quincy is 9-0 against Chester going back to April of 2021, a lead they'll look to extend.
