Basketball Recap: Druid Hills Red Devils vs. Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors

Druid Hills kicked off their season on the road on Saturday and hit a couple of potholes. They were dealt a 69-42 loss at the hands of the Southwest Atlanta Christian Warriors. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it six in a row.

Jabari Burleson had an outrageously good game for Southwest Atlanta Christian as he shot 50% from the field on his way to 14 points in addition to seven assists and six boards. Burleson is on a roll when it comes to shooting accuracy, as he's posted one of at least 47% in the last six games he's played dating back to last season. Talyn Harris was another key player, going 5-for-11 to rack up 15 points.

Druid Hills has already played their next contest, a 75-61 loss against Lithonia on the 18th. As for Southwest Atlanta Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 108-38 win against Atlanta Classical Academy on the 12th.
