Softball Recap: Vasquez Has No Trouble Against Palmdale Academy Charter School

Vasquez never let their opponents score on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Palmdale Academy Charter School Jaguars as they made off with a 22-0 victory. That 22 run margin sets a new team best for the Mustangs this season.

The team relied heavily on Daniella Escamilla, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and two stolen bases. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Sadie Mendoza, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.

Vasquez was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .606. The last time their batting average was this high was back in March of 2024.

Vasquez is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Palmdale Academy Charter School, their loss was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 1-11.
