Volleyball Recap: Our Lady Academy Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Win

Our Lady Academy came tearing into Saturday's match with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against the Hancock Hawks by a score of 2-0. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 last Thursday.

While Our Lady Academy won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-17.

Our Lady Academy was led to victory by Mackenzie Knoblock and Taylor Henley. Knoblock had eight digs and two aces, while Henley hit 60% for seven kills and seven digs and two blocks. Henley has been hot for a while, having posted five or more kills the last 26 times she's played.

Our Lady Academy's win bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Hancock, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-5.

Coincidentally, Our Lady Academy and Hancock will both be playing Oak Grove the next time they take the court. The Crescents will host the Warriors at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 11:00 a.m.
