There's no place like home for Northwestern, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They put the hurt on the New London Wildcats with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won five in a row.

Northwestern never let New London on the board, but things got pretty close in the second set. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-23, 25-12.

Claire Buchholz paced Northwestern's offense, picking up 19 kills. Buchholz got some help from Kelsee Smith and her 24 assists. Smith was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

The victory got Northwestern back to even at 1-1.

Northwestern wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-0 loss against Hiland on the 20th. As for New London, they have also already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Mapleton on the 19th.
