Soccer Recap: WF West Takes a Loss

WF West had taken Tumwater down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Bearcats fell just short of the Thunderbirds by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Tumwater this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in April.

WF West's loss dropped their record down to 8-8-1. As for Tumwater, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-6 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. WF West will welcome Washougal at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. WF West will be up against Washougal's rather soft defense (which has allowed 3.5 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Tumwater, they will face off against R.A. Long on Saturday.
