Softball Recap: Kennedy Commanders vs. Adams City Eagles

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Denver North, Kennedy was happy to have turned things around on Monday. They blew past the Adams City Eagles 14-4. The Commanders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won five matches by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Alexiah Lunas, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Aleeyah Garcia, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all three of her plate appearances.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 5-7. As for Adams City, their defeat ended a five-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 4-3.

Kennedy will square off against Overland at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Adams City, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Thornton at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Adams City is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 11 runs per game this season.
