Flag Football Game Preview: Santa Teresa Saints vs. Gunderson Grizzlies

The Santa Teresa Saints will face off against the Gunderson Grizzlies at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Santa Teresa 5.2, Gunderson 13.3) so any points scored will be well earned.

If Santa Teresa beats Gunderson with six points on Thursday, it's going to be the squad's new lucky number: they've won their past two matchups with that exact score. The Saints didn't even let Independence on the board on Tuesday, marking the Saints' second-straight 6-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Saints.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Gunderson). They claimed a resounding 33-6 victory over Leigh. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for the Grizzlies considering their six-point performance the game before.

The win got Gunderson back to even at 5-5. As for Santa Teresa, their victory bumped their record up to 8-2.

Santa Teresa won a contest that couldn't have been any closer in their previous meeting back in September, slipping by Gunderson 8-7. Will the Saints repeat their success, or do the Grizzlies have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
