Softball Recap: Orestimba's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Four

Orestimba proved they can win big last Thursday (they won by 13) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Ripon Indians 2-1. Winning may never get old, but the Warriors sure are getting used to it with their fourth in a row.

Hailey Starr spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered a run (which was unearned) on six hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season.

On the hitting side, Orestimba's win was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Lily Rocha, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one double. That's the most RBI Rocha has posted since back in April of 2024.

Orestimba's record is now 6-8. As for Ripon, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Orestimba will challenge rival Hughson at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Ripon is set to face off against their familiar foe Sonora at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday.
