Volleyball Recap: Morley Stanwood Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Morley Stanwood unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of the Beal City Aggies by a score of 2-1. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Aggies this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in September.

Morley Stanwood started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-22, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, Morley Stanwood saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Saige Ososki had eight digs.

Morley Stanwood's loss dropped their record down to 18-10. As for Beal City, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 19-3.

Morley Stanwood has already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Fremont on the 9th. As for Beal City, they are taking a road trip to square off against Pine River Area at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
