Basketball Recap: Wilburton Comes Up Short

Wilburton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were dealt a 60-33 defeat at the hands of the Stigler Panthers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Diggers this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 45-23 back in December of 2024.

Wilburton's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Stigler, they moved to 8-8 with that win, which also ended their seven-game losing streak.

Wilburton wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 48-37 defeat against Heavener on the 31st. Stigler has also already played their next game (against Westville), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
