Preview: Troy Trojans vs. Xenia Buccaneers
Troy and Xenia are an even 5-5 against one another since December of 2017, but not for long. The Troy Trojans will head out on the road to face off against the Xenia Buccaneers at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Troy is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road dating back to last season.
Troy scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Greenville with a sharp 65-39 win. That 65-39 margin sets a new team best for Troy this season.
Meanwhile, this season hasn't been kind to Xenia, who are still winless after their fourth matchup. They were beaten by Tippecanoe 79-43 on Tuesday. Xenia has not had much luck with Tippecanoe recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
The victory got Troy back to even at 2-2. As for Xenia, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-4.
Troy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Xenia in their previous matchup back in January, but they still walked away with a 68-64 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Troy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
