Baseball Recap: Crestline Comes Up Short

Crestline was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat. They lost 13-7 to the Central Christian Comets. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Comets this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 last Monday.

Crestline saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Dawson Hefner, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-5. Hefner also brought in an RBI, marking his first of the season. Another was Adam Burton, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Crestline's loss dropped their record down to 1-8. As for Central Christian, the win got them back to even at 3-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Crestline will head out to face off against Mt. Gilead at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Christian, they will take on Loudonville at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
