Baseball Recap: Poolville Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Poolville and Riesel squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Poolville had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Indians by a score of 1-0. While getting shut out isn't ideal, the Monarchs haven't been shut out since back in February.

Poolville's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9. As for Riesel, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-9-2 record this season.

While Poolville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
