Preview: Bellows Falls vs. Fair Haven
Bellows Falls may have come out ahead in their last match, but they shouldn't get too cocky given who is up next. On Friday they take on Fair Haven at 7:00 PM. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, Bellows Falls and Fair Haven will really light up the scoreboard.
Bellows Falls might be getting used to good results now that the squad have three wins in a row. They blew past Mt. Abraham 46-14. Followers of Bellows Falls probably expected little less of the team in a season in which they have collected five blowout victories.
As for Fair Haven, they won against Poultney two weeks ago with 62 points, and they decided to stick to that point total again last Friday. Fair Haven captured a comfortable 62-42 victory over U-32. The success made it back-to-back wins for Fair Haven.
Bellows Falls found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 20-46 punch to the gut against Fair Haven the last time the two teams met. Since neither squad is a stranger to landslide victories this season, you'd better bet it will be hard-fought showdown.
