Football Game Preview: Virgin Valley Bulldogs vs. Valley Vikings

The Virgin Valley Bulldogs are taking a road trip to take on the Valley Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Virgin Valley is coming into the contest hot, having won their last nine games.

Virgin Valley is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Nevada's top teams: Boulder City, who was ranked tenth at the time (Virgin Valley was ranked sixth). Virgin Valley claimed a resounding 40-12 win over Boulder City. The Bulldogs might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 13 games by 27 points or more this season.

Meanwhile, Valley was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 20-16 to Eldorado. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Virgin Valley pushed their record up to 15-1 with the victory, which was their 19th straight at home dating back to last season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.6 points per game. As for Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-12.

Everything came up roses for Virgin Valley against Valley in their previous matchup back in February of 2024, as the squad secured a 60-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Virgin Valley since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
