Basketball Preview: Chesterfield Golden Rams vs. North Central Knights
The Chesterfield Golden Rams will be playing at home against the North Central Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Chesterfield has three straight victories, the Knights have 17 straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.
Last Friday, Chesterfield beat the Braves 52-41.
Kierra Diggs continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines, dropping a double-double on 24 points and 24 rebounds. She is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last nine games she's played. Kaylee Eubanks was another key contributor, scoring five points along with eight rebounds and five steals.
Meanwhile, North Central had to suffer through a rough 88-27 loss at the hands of the Volunteers. North Central was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-10.
Chesterfield is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 17-4 record this season. As for North Central, their defeat was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-15.
Everything came up roses for Chesterfield against the Knights in their previous matchup back in January as the team secured a 51-14 win. Does Chesterfield have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Knights turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
