Softball Recap: Midway Takes a Loss

Midway was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 13-2 to the Oakdale Eagles. The Green Wave were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in March of 2024.

Madalin Arrington made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI. Kiersten Ruffner also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Midway's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Oakdale, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 8-0.

Midway didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 12-0 loss against Sweetwater on the 28th. As for Oakdale, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 2-1 win against Harriman on the 1st.
