Baseball Game Preview: Mt. Hope Huskies vs. Cranston West Falcons

The Mt. Hope Huskies will face off against the Cranston West Falcons at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Mt. Hope has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since April 16.

Coventry hit Mt. Hope with a four-run fifth inning on Thursday, which goes a long way in explaining the final result. The Huskies fell 5-1 to the Oakers.

Mt. Hope saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brian Abbruzzi, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Meanwhile, Cranston West came into Thursday's game having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They never let Lincoln get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory on Thursday.

The result came thanks to Logan Taylor's shutout, as he gave up just three hits.

Cranston West's win bumped their record up to 6-10. As for Mt. Hope, their loss dropped their record down to 2-13.
