Recap: Clarke County Eagles vs. James Wood Colonels
Even though the Clarke County Eagles have not done well against the James Wood Colonels recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Clarke County came out on top against James Wood by a score of 49-36. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Clarke County.
Despite the loss, James Wood still got an impressive performance from Josie Russell, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Russell is absolutely dominating the rebound category: she's posted at least eight every time she's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Maddie Shirley, who scored 3 points along with 4 steals.
Clarke County's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for James Wood, they have fallen quite a ways from their 16-8 record last season and are now at 1-2.
