Basketball Game Preview: California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs vs. La Sierra Academy Knights

The California School for the Deaf-Riverside Cubs will challenge the La Sierra Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

On Saturday, 2025 welcomed California School for the Deaf-Riverside with a 72-46 loss courtesy of Chino Hills. While losing is never fun, the Cubs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 812th, while the Huskies are ranked 37th).

Meanwhile, La Sierra Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch back in December of 2024 as the team picked up their seventh straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 70-23 defeat at the hands of Sherman Indian.

La Sierra Academy's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for California School for the Deaf-Riverside, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-4.

California School for the Deaf-Riverside strolled past La Sierra Academy in their previous meeting back in January of 2024 by a score of 72-58.
