Volleyball Recap: Baystate Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Springfield Renaissance on Wednesday, Baystate Academy came back down to earth. Baystate Academy came up short against the Minnechaug Regional Falcons on Friday, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against Minnechaug Regional this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on September 4th.

While Baystate Academy was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Minnechaug Regional's winning margin in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-20, 26-24.

Among those leading the charge was Jordan Miller, who had ten digs and two aces. Those ten digs gave her a new career-high.

Baystate Academy now has a losing record of 5-6. As for Minnechaug Regional, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 9-1.

Coming up, Baystate Academy will challenge Longmeadow at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Minnechaug Regional, they have already played their next contest, a 3-0 win against Hudson on the 27th.
