Arlington had to kick off their season on the road on Friday, but they showed no ill effects. They claimed a resounding 28-0 victory over the Western Christian Fighting Lancers on the road. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Lions as it put an end to their four-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Daniel Gonzalez was a one-man wrecking crew for Arlington as he rushed for 170 yards and two touchdowns on only seven carries, and also threw for 106 yards and a touchdown. Gonzalez's longest rush was for an incredible 80 yards. 91 of those passing yards were hauled in by Lincoln Liggins, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

Arlington was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 201 rushing yards. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Western Christian only rushed for 37.

Arlington will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Ramona at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Western Christian, they will welcome Notre Dame at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
