Basketball Recap: Urban Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Urban can now relate to. They took a blow against the Moreau Catholic Mariners on Saturday, falling 62-35. The contest was a close 25-22 at the break, but unfortunately for the Blues it sure didn't stay that way.

Kellen Hampton continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Moreau Catholic, going 9-for-21 to rack up 26 points and five boards. The matchup was Hampton's fourth in a row with at least 26 points. Another player making a difference was Isaiah Clendinen, who posted six points.

Urban's defeat dropped their record down to 18-11. As for Moreau Catholic, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-5 record this season.

Urban does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Moreau Catholic, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against University at 7:00 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as University comes in on five and Moreau Catholic on four.
