Basketball Game Preview: Centaurus Warriors vs. Fairview Knights

Having struggled with six losses in a row, Centaurus turned things around against Niwot on Tuesday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 55-22 win over the Cougars. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest victory the Warriors have posted since January 5, 2024.

Centaurus' success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jt Falzone led the charge by putting up 11 points. Jack Lyle was another key player, going 5 of 8 en route to 10 points and seven rebounds.

Meanwhile, Fairview entered their tilt with Silver Creek on Tuesday with four consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with five. They managed a 56-50 win over the Raptors. Given the Knights' advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 31st, while the Raptors are ranked 136th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Fairview's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 11-2. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 63.0 points per game. As for Centaurus, their win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 6-8.
