Softball Recap: New Hope's Winning Streak Snapped at 11 Games

It was a good run, but New Hope unfortunately witnessed the end of their 11-game winning streak on Tuesday. They fell 9-4 to the Lafayette Commodores. The Trojans were not able to make up for their loss to the Commodores from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Tatum McBride was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-4.

New Hope's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 8-1 and their overall record down to 17-7. As for Lafayette, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 15 of their last 17 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season.

While New Hope had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
