West Grand had to skate by with only a two-point margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the 24-point drubbing they dealt Soroco on Friday. The West Grand Mustangs were the clear victor by a 46-22 margin over the Soroco Rams. The Mustangs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten contests by 23 points or more this season.

West Grand's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Luci Bruchez, who went 5 of 6 en route to 15 points. Bruchez is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played. Makaila Gifford was another key player, putting up 11 points along with six steals and five assists.

West Grand is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches, which provided a nice bump to their 15-2 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 22.9 points per game. As for Soroco, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with the loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

West Grand will head out on the road to take on Vail Mountain at 2:30 p.m. on February 8th. As for Soroco, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 40-33 victory against Caprock Academy on the 1st.
