Softball Recap: Lee Comes Up Short

Lee was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat. They came up short against the Port Neches-Groves Indians, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Indians this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 16-0 back in February.

Tara Archibald made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.

Lee's loss dropped their record down to 1-11-1. As for Port Neches-Groves, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 21-3 record this season.

Coincidentally, Lee and Port Neches-Groves will both be playing Nederland the next time they take the field. Port Neches-Groves will head out to face Nederland at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, while Lee will host them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
