Volleyball Recap: Academy of the Americas Comes Up Short

Academy of the Americas came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 3-0 to the Renaissance Phoenix. The defeat continues a trend for Academy of the Americas in their meetings with Renaissance: they've now lost three in a row.

Academy of the Americas' loss dropped their record down to 8-6. As for Renaissance, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 22 of their last 25 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 28-4-4 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Academy of the Americas will host Hamtramck at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Renaissance, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against King at 7:00 p.m.
