Soccer Recap: Wellston vs. Whiteoak
If Wellston was feeling good fresh off their 7-1 takedown of Piketon last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Wellston Golden Rockets came up short against the Whiteoak Wildcats on Thursday, falling 4-1. Milton Mesa was hit with a yellow card, which may have had some impact on his (and the team's) ability to make aggressive plays.
Wellston's goal came courtesy of Mesa, who's now up to five this season.
Wellston dropped their record down to 4-10-2 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Whiteoak, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-6.
