Wright City wins going away against De Queen

Recap: Wright City Lumberjax vs. De Queen Leopards

The Wright City Lumberjax put another one in the bag on Saturday to keep their perfect season alive. They strolled past De Queen with points to spare, taking the game 60-43. Given Wright City's advantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked second in Oklahoma, while De Queen is ranked 60th in Arkansas), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Wright City to victory, but perhaps none more so than Madison Carter, who scored 13 points along with 5 rebounds. The game was Carter's seventh in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Kinsley Scrivner, who scored 9 points along with 7 rebounds.

Wright City's victory bumped their record up to 7-0. As for De Queen, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-2.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wright City will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Smithville at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. As for De Queen, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Centerpoint at 12:00 p.m. on December 12th.
