Basketball Recap: St. George's Victory on Tuesday Extends Winning Streak to Three

St. George had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 24.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 61-52 win over the Tipton-Rosemark Academy Rebels. That's more bragging rights for the Gryphons, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

St. George's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Carson Crump, who went 9-for-16 to rack up 20 points and five boards. Crump is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in each of the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Amir Wilson, who posted ten points and five rebounds.

St. George's pushed their record up to 17-5 with the victory, which was their third straight at home. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 67.7 points over those games. As for Tipton-Rosemark Academy, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four games, which has put a noticeable dent in their 14-13 record this season.
