Baseball Game Preview: Gaffney Indians vs. Eastside Eagles

For the second straight game, Gaffney will face off against Eastside. Gaffney will head out on the road to face off against Eastside at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Gaffney is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak.

Gaffney's last matchup with Eastside could've gone either way, but unfortunately the same can't be said for the pair's game on Wednesday. Gaffney came up short against Eastside, falling 10-4.

Sam Smith was cooking despite his team's loss, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 3-for-3. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Gage McDaniel was another key player, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.

The win made it two in a row for Eastside and bumps their season record up to 8-4. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 7 runs in those games. As for Gaffney, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-7.
