Soccer Recap: Peotone Snags Ninth Win in Last Ten Games

Peotone and Joliet Catholic pushed the score to 5-3 the last time they played Joliet Catholic, but on Wednesday defenses reigned supreme. The Blue Devils' defense stepped up to hand the Hilltoppers a 2-0 shutout. The score was all tied up 0-0 at the break, but Peotone were the better team in the second half.

Allie Werner and Peyton Bisping scored both of Peotone's goals, bringing their combined season tally to 51 goals.

Peotone has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-6-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 59 goals over those ten games. As for Joliet Catholic, their loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-15.

Looking ahead, Peotone will take on Herscher on Saturday. Peotone will need to watch out since Herscher have now posted at least four goals in their last five contests. Joliet Catholic does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
