Softball Game Preview: Westmont Warriors vs. Willow Glen Rams

The Westmont Warriors will square off against the Willow Glen Rams at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Neither Westmont nor Willow Glen posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

On Thursday, Westmont came up short against Ann Sobrato and fell 5-1. The Warriors haven't had much luck with the Bulldogs recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Westmont saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rylin Yee, who went 2-for-3 with one double. That double marked the first that Yee has hit this season.

Meanwhile, on Friday Willow Glen's undefeated season almost came to an end. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against King's Academy.

Not much got past Alanna Clincy, who gave up just eight hits and racked up 13 Ks to keep King's Academy off the board. Clincy has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in 13 consecutive appearances.

Willow Glen's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 16-0-1. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Westmont, they now have a losing record of 10-11.
