Basketball Recap: Dreher Piles Up the Points Against York

A well-balanced attack led Dreher over York in every quarter on their way to victory on Friday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that the Dreher Blue Devils blew the York Cougars out of the water with a 73-37 final score. Given the Blue Devils' advantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 55th, while the Cougars are ranked 241st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Austin Glasscho had a dynamite game for Dreher, putting up 20 points. The dominant performance gave Glasscho a new career-high in points. Jordan Brown was another key player, posting 14 points.

Despite the defeat, York had strong showings from Deno Gilmore, who posted 11 points, and Jackson Rampey, who had six points. Gilmore continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played.

Dreher's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-5. As for York, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-13.

Dreher wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 62-45 win against Camden on the 6th. As for York, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 66-49 loss against A.C. Flora on the 6th.
