New London was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were two runs away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Menasha Bluejays. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 28, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Ellie Winkelman spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and two unearned) runs on 13 hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances.
