Baseball Game Preview: River Road Wildcats vs. Tulia Hornets

The River Road Wildcats will venture away from home to face off against the Tulia Hornets at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. River Road has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since March 7.

River Road lost 34-2 to Bushland on Friday.

Meanwhile, Tulia didn't have quite enough to beat Bushland on Tuesday and fell 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Hornets have suffered against the Falcons since April 2, 2019.

Tulia saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Aiden Marquez, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

This is the second loss in a row for Tulia and nudges their season record down to 13-7-1. Even worse, they were so close both times: the defeats came by an average of only 1.5 runs. As for River Road, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.

River Road suffered a grim 17-8 defeat to Tulia in their previous meeting two weeks ago. Can the Wildcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
