Basketball Recap: Palmetto Comes Up Short

Palmetto was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 69-61 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Luella Lions.

Palmetto's loss dropped their record down to 9-4. As for Luella, the victory snapped their losing streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-5 record.

Palmetto and Luella should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in their respective state rankings. Palmetto (ranked 146th) will meet Braden River (ranked 425th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 9th. Similarly, Luella (ranked 99th) will meet Mt. Zion (ranked 500th) at 7:30 p.m. on January 7th.
